Abstract
This study was carried out to compare and analyze the cumulative temperature and growth period depending upon growth stage of satsuma mandarin as affected by cropping system and to contribute in establisment of systematic technique for control of production season and production of high quality fruit in the plastic house. Twenty seven, 34, 34, 37, 34 and 38 days were required to flower when heated from Nov. 12, Nov. 28, Dec. 8, Dec. 25, Jan. 13 and Jan. 30, respectively, and days to flowering were delayed as heating time were retarded. Variation coefficients of cumulative temperature were smaller than growth period. Variation coefficients of days from time of flower bud appearing, flowering and fruit diameter 20§® to harvesting time were relatively low in both growth days and cumulative temperature, however, variation coefficients of GDD-4, 5, 6 of cumulative temperature were lower than that of growth period in days. The durations from heating time to harvesting time were 205, 214, 213, 231, 239, 227 days, respectively, at each heating time and were increased until Jan. l3 was heating time as late, but decreased on Jan. 30. This similar tendency was investigated in cumulative temperature. Days from harvest beginning to ending was delayed as heating time was late but shortened on Jan. 13 and yield on Dec. 25 was 4,100§¸/l0a more as compared that of Nov. 12.
